Free is for learning the workflow and handling smaller jobs
You can start a scrap run without Pro. The free version lets you calculate values, browse the material catalog, build up to three material lines in a load, save up to three loads, keep one yard, and try a load photo. That is enough to see how ScrapValue organizes a mixed estimate and carries it into a saved record.
The important limit is price control. Free users cannot edit the per-pound or per-kilogram rate. The displayed reference helps demonstrate the calculation, but it should not be treated as a live local offer. If you want the estimate to use the number your own yard quoted, that rate control is part of Pro.
Pro is for pricing with your quote and keeping the professional record
All current Pro plans unlock the same feature set. Choose the billing option based on how long you expect to use the tools, not because a more expensive tier hides a better version of the app.

Monthly, annual, or Lifetime
U.S. launch pricing is $1.99 per month, $9.99 per year—about $0.83 per month—or $19.99 for a one-time Lifetime purchase. The store page in your country shows the final localized price, taxes, and the plans currently available on your platform before you approve payment.
Monthly and annual plans renew automatically until canceled in your Apple or Google account. Lifetime is a non-consumable one-time purchase. The pricing system is controlled by the storefront, so Goodale Studios can change the offer for new buyers later without taking access away from existing lifetime purchasers.
Restore and device changes
Purchases are verified by the App Store or Google Play. Use Restore Purchases while signed into the store account that bought Pro. Verified entitlements refresh on launch and are cached so the app can continue recognizing access during ordinary network interruptions.
Store purchases can sync across compatible devices using the same platform account. Apple purchases do not transfer to Google Play, and Google Play purchases do not transfer to Apple because the stores operate separate payment and entitlement systems.
Existing owners keep what they bought
Anyone who previously bought the original ScrapValue lifetime product remains grandfathered with permanent Pro access, unless the applicable store reports a refund or revocation. The 4.0 upgrade is designed to migrate compatible local records so current users do not have to trade their history for the new workspace.
