What should I include in a support request?

Include your device model, iOS version, TrainerLoop version and build, the screen you were using, the steps immediately before the problem, and the exact error message. Do not send private client records, full transcripts, or dog photos unless necessary; redact identifying details when possible.

Do I need a TrainerLoop account?

No. TrainerLoop has no account or login. Profiles, records, photos, plans, and lesson progress are stored locally on your device.

How do I switch between Personal and Business?

Open Settings from Today and choose Switch to Personal or Switch to Business in the Workspace section. Switching changes the layout and visible records; it does not delete records from the other workspace.

How do I add or change a dog photo?

Open the dog, choose Edit, and tap the photo area. Select a picture with Apple’s photo picker. TrainerLoop makes a smaller local JPEG copy and removes the source metadata. If an image is unsupported, try a standard JPEG, PNG, or HEIC image and include the original file type and iOS version in a support email if the problem continues.

Is the microphone required, and is audio saved?

No. Every recap can be typed or pasted. TrainerLoop requests microphone and speech-recognition access only after you tap Record. Speech recognition runs on device, audio is not saved, and the resulting transcript is stored locally.

Where are my records stored?

TrainerLoop stores app records locally and does not provide cloud sync or a Goodale Studios backup server. Apple device backups may include app data depending on your settings. Contact support before deleting or reinstalling the app if records appear unavailable.

What is included when I share a plan?

The owner preview shows the shareable fields. Built-in text and PDF exports exclude the raw transcript, client private notes, session private notes, and dog photo. The recipient does not need TrainerLoop or an account.

What is included for free?

The free tier includes three complete Academy lessons and up to three completed client or personal practice plans. Drafts and existing records remain accessible. Pro unlocks all 15 current lessons and unlimited completed plans.

How do I restore, manage, or cancel TrainerLoop Pro?

Open Settings, choose View TrainerLoop Pro, and tap Restore purchases. Use the same Apple Account that made the purchase. Subscriptions are billed and managed by Apple; use Manage subscription in TrainerLoop or Apple subscription settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

How do I delete data?

Permanently delete a dog or client and read the confirmation carefully; related local history and photos may also be removed. Delete the app to remove all local TrainerLoop data from the device. Apple backups and content already shared to other services must be managed separately.

Can TrainerLoop diagnose behavior or certify a service animal?

No. TrainerLoop provides general reward-based education and organizes user-authored plans. It does not diagnose behavior, provide veterinary care, certify trainers, or certify service, assistance, therapy, or emotional-support animals. Seek a veterinarian or qualified reward-based behavior professional for pain, sudden behavior changes, severe fear, panic, aggression, guarding, bites, or bite risk.
