Goodale HVAC Fieldbook
This Privacy Policy applies to the Goodale HVAC Fieldbook iPhone and iPad app and the Goodale HVAC Fieldbook pages on the Goodale Studios website. Other Goodale Studios apps have separate privacy policies.
Goodale HVAC Fieldbook does not require an account, does not contain advertising, analytics, or third-party tracking, and does not send your company, customer, project, measurement, note, or calculation records to a Goodale Studios server.
Goodale HVAC Fieldbook is an offline-first field tool. App records are stored locally on your device and leave the app only when you choose to share an export, open an external link, or contact support.
Depending on how you use the app, Goodale HVAC Fieldbook can store appearance and unit preferences; favorite and recent tools; field notes; saved calculation inputs and results; company identity and contact details; and project numbers, customer and site information, areas, systems, equipment, test points, phased readings, tolerances, deficiencies, corrective actions, instrument and calibration records, checklist state, approval details, and local signature data.
This information is used to provide the app’s local features. Goodale Studios cannot view, retrieve, correct, synchronize, or remotely delete these records because they are not sent to a Goodale Studios server.
Values entered into calculators and project test points are processed on your device. Saving a result places it in local calculation history and, when you choose an active project, can link it to that local project record.
PDF, CSV, and project-backup files are generated locally. Goodale HVAC Fieldbook does not automatically upload or send them. When you open Apple’s share sheet and choose Mail, Messages, AirDrop, cloud storage, or another destination, that service receives the content you selected and applies its own privacy practices. Goodale Studios does not receive a copy through the app.
Opening the privacy, terms, support, Apple, or another external link takes you outside Goodale HVAC Fieldbook, where the destination’s privacy practices apply.
The Goodale Studios website host may process routine technical request data, such as IP address, browser type, requested page, and timestamp, to deliver and secure the website. This website activity is separate from locally stored Goodale HVAC Fieldbook records.
If you email support, Goodale Studios receives your email address and anything you choose to include. This information is used to answer the request, investigate problems, protect the service, and meet legal obligations. Do not send customer details, site addresses, company-confidential material, or complete job reports unless necessary; redact identifying information when possible.
Local records remain until you delete the applicable item, clear supported history, or delete the app. Deleting the app removes its local data from that device. Copies that may exist in an Apple device backup remain subject to your Apple backup settings, and content previously exported or shared must be deleted from its destination separately.
Support emails may be retained as reasonably necessary to answer requests, maintain support records, protect against misuse, and meet legal obligations. Website technical logs follow the hosting provider’s operational and security practices.
Goodale HVAC Fieldbook relies on the iOS app sandbox and Apple’s device and file-protection features to help protect local records. No storage method is perfectly secure. Protect your device with a passcode, keep iOS current, avoid storing unnecessary sensitive information, and review reports before sharing them.
Goodale HVAC Fieldbook is a professional field utility and is not designed to solicit personal information from children. It has no account, public profile, advertising, or social features. Contact Goodale Studios if you believe a child sent personal information to support.
Because Goodale Studios does not possess your locally stored app records, support cannot retrieve, export, or remotely erase them for you.
Goodale Studios does not sell Goodale HVAC Fieldbook app data, share it for cross-app behavioral advertising, or use it to track you across apps or websites. The app does not request App Tracking Transparency permission because it does not perform tracking.
We may update this policy when Goodale HVAC Fieldbook features or legal obligations change. The page will show a revised effective date, and App Store privacy information will be updated before a release that materially changes data handling.
