Is ScrapValue 4.0 available now?

Yes. ScrapValue 4.0 was released on the Apple App Store on August 8, 2026. It opens in the new Modern workspace, preserves compatible saved data and theme choices, and keeps permanent Pro access for existing Pro and lifetime owners.

What should I include in a support email?

Include ScrapValue in the subject line, your device model, OS version, app version, purchase platform if relevant, and a short description of the issue. Do not send passwords, store-account credentials, payment-card details, government identification, or sensitive customer information. Redact personal information from screenshots.

How do I restore ScrapValue Pro?

Open ScrapValue, go to the Pro upgrade screen, and tap Restore Purchases while signed in to the store account that made the purchase. If Pro still does not unlock, email support with your platform, app version, and what happened. Never send your Apple or Google credentials or payment information.

Can I send feature ideas?

Yes. Product feedback helps guide future ScrapValue updates.

Does ScrapValue provide live local scrap-yard prices?

No. ScrapValue helps you calculate with reference rates or prices you enter from a yard. Its BLS charts show official national index movement, not a local per-pound offer. Always confirm grades and current prices directly with the receiving yard.

What can I do in the free version?

You can browse 48 practical grades, calculate values, build three-material loads, save up to three loads, keep one yard, and attach one trial photo per load. Pro adds editable local rates, receipt OCR, unlimited records, comparisons, charts, and reports.

Where are my receipts, photos, and load records stored?

Private ScrapValue records stay in app storage on your device. On Apple devices, Pro users can choose a private iCloud Drive backup. ScrapValue does not publish, crowdsource, or sell your receipt and load data.
