Camp Together: Family Camping
This Privacy Policy applies to the Camp Together: Family Camping app for iPhone and iPad and its pages on the Goodale Studios website. Other Goodale Studios apps have their own privacy policies.
Camp Together: Family Camping does not require an account and does not include advertising, behavioral analytics, cross-app tracking, or a Goodale Studios service that receives your camping records.
Favorites, checklist selections, course progress, journal entries, memory notes, traditions, trip summaries, trail breadcrumbs, reminder settings, and cozy family statistics are stored in the app's private local storage. Trip photos you choose are resized and stored in the app's protected Application Support directory.
Goodale Studios cannot view, retrieve, correct, synchronize, or remotely delete this information because Camp Together does not send it to a Goodale Studios account or app-data server.
Location access is optional and is requested only when you choose compass or trail-navigation features. The app uses foreground location, heading, altitude, accuracy, distance, and locally recorded breadcrumb points to help you understand your position and direction.
Camp Together does not request background location access, create a Goodale Studios location history, or transmit your device location to Goodale Studios. Deleting a saved trail removes its locally stored breadcrumb record.
If you choose the optional Apple map view or open a location in Apple Maps, Apple may process the map request, coordinates, and routine connection information under Apple's terms and privacy practices. Map imagery may require an internet connection; the app's local breadcrumb plot does not.
Compass, location, photo selection, sharing, notifications, device backup, and App Store distribution rely on Apple platform services and settings under Apple's control.
Camp Together accesses a photo only after you select it through Apple's system photo picker. The selected trip photo is stored locally and is not uploaded to Goodale Studios.
If you enable a trip reminder, the app schedules a local notification on your device. If you share content, Apple's share sheet sends it only to the destination you choose, whose privacy practices then apply.
The launch edition of Camp Together: Family Camping is free to download and use. It does not display advertising or offer a subscription or feature paywall. A future optional purchase will not be enabled unless its availability and this policy are updated appropriately.
The Goodale Studios website host may process routine request information such as IP address, browser type, requested page, response status, and timestamp to deliver and secure the website. Website activity is separate from camping information stored inside the app.
If you email support, Goodale Studios receives your email address and anything you choose to include. Do not send precise campsite or trail locations, private family photos, or other information you do not want to disclose.
Camp Together does not ask children to create an account or publish content. A parent or guardian should supervise a child's use of location, maps, fishing, cooking, fire, tools, sharing, and communication with support.
Camp Together relies on Apple's app sandbox and device protections. You can delete individual records inside the app. Deleting the app removes its local data from that device, subject to Apple backup and restore behavior.
