Agreement and permitted use
Effective August 8, 2026. By downloading or using ScrapValue, you agree to these Terms of Use and the applicable App Store or Google Play terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
Goodale Studios grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use ScrapValue for lawful personal or internal business purposes. You may not misuse the app, interfere with its operation, or attempt to use it to violate applicable law or another party’s rights.
Estimates are informational
ScrapValue provides estimated scrap-metal values for planning and recordkeeping. It is not a binding quote, appraisal, offer to purchase, financial advice, tax advice, or guarantee of any payout.
Actual prices and payouts vary with material grade, contamination, attachments, local demand, yard policies, market conditions, measurement methods, and certified scale weight. Verify current prices, accepted materials, grading rules, and payment terms directly with the yard before relying on an estimate.
Saved yards and your records
ScrapValue lets you save yard profiles and prices that you enter. User-created yard records are not independently verified, recommended, or endorsed. A yard shown with an official publisher status has passed the stated business-domain and manual-review process, but verification confirms publisher identity rather than guaranteeing a price, transaction, safety practice, or business performance.
Calling a yard or requesting directions opens a service on your device. Your use of that service and any transaction with a yard are governed by that provider’s or yard’s terms, not these Terms.
Backups and private records
If you enable an available backup or device-sync feature, your private app records may be stored or transferred by Apple iCloud or Google’s Android backup services under your platform account and settings. Goodale Studios does not operate those private backup accounts and cannot recover their credentials.
Do not upload or share another person’s receipt without authority. ScrapValue does not provide a public receipt-sharing or crowdsourced receipt-price service.
Pro purchases
ScrapValue Pro is offered through monthly and annual auto-renewing subscriptions and a Lifetime one-time purchase on supported Apple and Android storefronts. Plans unlock the same current Pro feature set. The localized price, billing period, and purchase terms displayed by the App Store or Google Play before confirmation control the transaction.
Monthly and annual plans renew automatically unless canceled through the user’s Apple Account or Google Play subscription settings. Apple or Google handles payment, renewal, cancellation, taxes, eligible refunds, account access, and restoration under its terms and policies. Existing purchasers of the original ScrapValue Pro lifetime product remain permanently entitled to full Pro access unless the applicable store reports a verified refund or revocation.
Safety and legal compliance
ScrapValue does not provide workplace-safety, hazardous-material, transportation, environmental, or legal advice. Follow applicable laws, site rules, and appropriate handling and protective-equipment practices. Do not use the app while driving or operating machinery.
Availability and responsibility
Features, catalog information, default prices, and platform services may change or become unavailable. Keep any records you are legally or operationally required to retain outside the app. Goodale Studios is not responsible for data loss caused by device failure, deletion, backup settings, or third-party services.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ScrapValue is provided without warranties of uninterrupted operation or accuracy, and Goodale Studios is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or lost-profit damages arising from its use. Nothing in these Terms limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be limited.
Changes and contact
You may stop using and delete ScrapValue at any time. Goodale Studios may update the app or these Terms when features, platform requirements, or applicable law change. The current version will remain available at this same URL with the effective date shown above.
