Before you start
Goodale’s Travels is in development. This guide explains the current published product direction so readers can understand the planned experience without implying that a public store release is already available.
Goodale’s Travels remains in development and is not presented as a public store release. Current pages describe the playable test build and the historical-maritime direction still being refined.

The Goodale’s Travels core journey
Use this sequence to understand the main flow. Individual screens and labels may evolve with updates, but the product goal remains consistent: sail. go ashore. discover what the charts leave out.
- Accept Queen Wendi's commission: Begin in Montague Hall, understand the voyage objective, and prepare to chart the five island ports.
- Take command of the vessel: Use rudder and sail controls while reading heading and speed. Build momentum deliberately and keep enough room to correct course.
- Approach a named harbor: Reduce risk near shore, avoid unnavigable shallows, and line up a controlled approach before choosing Go Ashore.
- Explore beyond the port: Continue on foot across each island and look beyond the obvious shoreline route for paths, residents, landmarks, and settlement clues.
- Complete the charts and discoveries: Record all five ports, find Pinewatch Hamlet, Lagoon End, High Beacon Hamlet, Stonecross, and Ashfield, then return with progress saved.

How to know the session worked
A successful voyage can be explained as a route: commission accepted, ship controlled, harbor reached, island explored, settlement found, and the discovery recorded.
