A focused chain—such as more projectiles plus pierce and elemental effects—usually creates more value than unrelated upgrades chosen in isolation.

Use area damage on clusters and control when movement space is collapsing instead of firing every ability as soon as it becomes available.

Permanent gear should solve the reason runs end: survivability, damage, mobility, cooldown pressure, or inconsistent spell output.
