Beach information and official sources
Public Beach Finder is a planning and discovery tool. Catalog descriptions, ratings, hours, dog policies, parking details, accessibility information, lifeguard coverage, water-quality notes, amenities, and public-access classifications may be incomplete, delayed, or changed by the managing authority.
The linked managing agency, posted signs, closures, permits, fees, and instructions from public officials control over information displayed in the app. Confirm important details with the official source before every visit.
Tides, weather, water quality, and safety
NOAA tide predictions and National Weather Service forecasts or alerts are informational planning aids. They are not a substitute for official emergency warnings, local lifeguard instructions, marine forecasts, water-quality advisories, or your own judgment.
Coastal conditions can change rapidly because of storms, waves, wind, rip currents, water temperature, erosion, wildlife, smoke, flooding, and other hazards. Check current official information, obey closures, supervise children, and never enter conditions beyond your ability.
Public access and responsible use
A catalog listing does not grant access through private property, override a closure, guarantee parking, or authorize collecting, camping, fires, vehicles, pets, alcohol, fishing, or other activities. Use marked public access routes and comply with current federal, state, tribal, territorial, county, municipal, and park rules.
Protect dunes, wildlife, nesting areas, cultural resources, and other visitors. Leave the beach cleaner than you found it and follow instructions from land managers and public-safety officials.
Ratings and availability
Catalog ratings are informational and are not a guarantee of beach quality, safety, access, cleanliness, or suitability. The rating model, coverage, and displayed record fields may change as the service develops.
Goodale Studios may add, correct, merge, or remove records and may change features, data providers, supported devices, and availability when reasonably necessary.
Third-party services
Public Beach Finder relies on services and content provided by NOAA, the National Weather Service, Apple Maps, public agencies, website operators, and hosting providers. Those services have their own terms, privacy practices, accuracy limits, network requirements, and availability.
License and acceptable use
Subject to applicable App Store terms, Goodale Studios grants you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use Public Beach Finder on supported Apple devices for lawful purposes.
