Before you start
Carcade is available now through the official store links on its Goodale Studios product page. Store availability, compatibility, and purchase terms shown by Apple or Google control the download.
Carcade is designed so the driver never needs to touch the screen while driving. Approximate location can support state-aware content, and a state can be chosen manually when location is unavailable or unwanted.

The Carcade core journey
Use this sequence to understand the main flow. Individual screens and labels may evolve with updates, but the product goal remains consistent: make getting there part of the adventure.
- Choose a responsible host: Give the iPhone or iPad to a passenger who can read controls, confirm discoveries, and keep the experience moving without involving the driver.
- Pick the right mode: Use Journey Adventure for a connected episode, Road Quest for observation, Plate Quest for collecting, State Spotlight for trivia, or Carcade Live for comedy.
- Set the state context: Allow approximate state awareness or select the state manually so local questions and Journey chapters match the route.
- Explain the shared rule: Players look outside and speak answers; the host records results. The device stays in one place and the driver stays focused on the road.
- Finish with the trip story: Review the score, rare finds, state discoveries, and funniest moments so the game becomes part of the memory of the drive.

How to know the session worked
A good Carcade session has more conversation than screen time and leaves the group remembering what it saw, learned, and invented together.
