The Goodale Studios scrap-load log is a plain CSV file that opens in Excel, Numbers, Google Sheets, and most spreadsheet apps. It contains headings only and does not collect or transmit your information.
Record the estimate
Before the trip, record the date, yard, material, expected grade, estimated weight, quote, price unit, and quote time. Add expected fuel, toll, or other trip costs if you want to compare net results.
Record the result
After the sale, enter the ticket number, actual grade, gross, tare, and net weights, paid unit price, adjustments, gross payout, trip cost, and net result. Keep notes about a grade change or preparation rule that will affect the next run.
Keep private or business records appropriately
Store records securely and follow the retention practices that apply to your household or business. A template is an organizational aid, not tax, accounting, or legal advice; consult a qualified professional for your situation.
